Nice roster shot of Great Northern 4-8-4 "Northern" type #2555. History - Built by Baldwin, 5/1929, The class was fit for dual freight/passenger service and remained in service until 1956 (2553), 1957, and 1958. Specs - serial #60810, class S-1, oil burner, 73" drivers, 28 x 30 cylinders, a boiler pressure of 250 psi, a weight of 472,120 lbs and a tractive effort of 68,466 pounds. No date, location or photographer was given for the photo.
