Description:  Just as I was getting ready to leave, they cranked this locomotive over. On the other end is the other operable 1206. I speculate this trainset was headed into Emporium to roll past the wreck scene, by the time I got to town however all the good watching spots were taken.

Description:  This engine is an SD40-2 former Kansas City Southern that has received a new blue and yellow paint job for the movie "Unstoppable" starring Denzel Washington and Chris Pine. Earlier last year it had the KCS gray color. The blue and yellow color scheme was used for the fictional "Allegheny and West Virginia Railroad" in the movie. Seen in the CSX Connellsville Railyard. This was one of three W&LE engines on layover in the yard after bringing in a coal train. They were waiting for a train of empties to be assembled to take back to their home yard in Green Tree. Note that this still retains the 1206 numberboards from the movie. This is the one that engineer "Frank Barnes" used to couple up from behind on the runaway train to try and bring it to a stop.

Description:  I tried to chase the AWVR 777 but with so many police on the highway I had to stay back. I got up to another crossing but the the train had already passed. Following right behind the train was AWVR 1206. It was almost like it was chasing down the train ahead. Weird.

Description:  In this shot its easier to tell this is actually a 1:1 model, This unit and 7375 are draw-barred together and are both propelled by a small diesel motor in the lead truck seen here. Note the Fuel and Air tanks are "backwards" as well as a solid piece (like the newer Atlas models.) No idea what the tarp is covering, or how thes emodels are ocntrolled. There's no controls in either cab, nor did either of the crew members ridding them have any handheld controls, but sure enough they wer emoving down the tracks slowly on their own. They even let a couple blasts from an air horn at the crossing.

They're filming a wreck scene with these full-size models, and seeing how the "crane" is anchored to this side of the frame, I wonder if it will be used to change the center of gravity, and start the locomotive tipping over.
