Here is page seven of an eight-page article by Fred Westing entitled "The Great Days Of Steam And The Glory Of Pennsy Pacifics." It was published originally in the March 1965 issue of "Railroad" magazine, page 27. Top Photo: Shown here (L to R) is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #3378 and another locomotive whose road number is not recorded. Both are "K" Class (4-6-2) "Pacifics." #3378 is a K-2S built in Juniata in 1911 and retired in November of 1938. Bottom Photo: Shown here (R to L) are PRR engines #2032 and #5496. Both are K-4S (4-6-2) "Pacifics" built in Juniata. #2032 was constructed in March of 1918 and retired in October of 1956, while #5496 was built in February of 1928 and retired in October of 1947.

Here is page ten of a 40-page booklet published by Harry P. Albrecht entitled "A Picture Study Of The K-4." First issued in October 1967, revised in September 1976. Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #5496, a K-4S (4-6-2) "Pacific" built in Juniata during February of 1928 and retired in October of 1956 after 28 years of faithful service. The photographer's name, the date, and the location are not recorded.
