Title:
NOPSI 801

ST. CHARLES
car line, on South Carrollton Avenue at Dixon Street. The was the end of the line from 8 January 1951, when the
ST. CHARLES / TULANE
belt line was discontinued, until 10 August 1952, when it was relocated down South Carrollton to South Claiborne.
JIM’S PLACE
, a restaurant and bar known for its fried chicken, was right across the street at 3832 South Carrollton. The 801 had been built by Brill in 1922 and was scrapped in April 1953. (approximate date of photo)
